Want to know something silly? People believe that schools aren’t safe nowadays. Schools and colleges are safe places to go. Gun-free signs are posted everywhere; on doors, walls, and windows, so no one has to be afraid. We also have armed security in the form of retired cops to protect us.

It’s just ridiculous to think that one of your peers would even come shoot up the school and kill or injure anyone. Sure, they might have been bullied and or ridiculed by their classmates, but they wouldn’t go find a gun and bring it with bad intentions. They may make threats and have a plan of action once they enter the school, but they’re just kidding. Who cares, anyway? In two weeks, we won’t even remember their names if they do happen to shoot their classmates.

To make the student feel safe, let’s start training them in grammar school. They can carry bulletproof vests and backpacks, so by the time they reach college, they’ll have an idea of how to react and protect themselves. Or better yet, let’s have the teachers carry guns to protect the students, even though they’re trained to educate, not to eliminate potential threats.

People need to understand that guns don’t kill people. People kill people, and typically the weapon of choice are guns. Guns are an innocent victim. They cannot act without people pulling the trigger.

Maybe if the parents would stop letting their children play those videogames or listen to that rap music, they wouldn’t want to kill people. Because we all know that’s the reason why students do this, not due to mental illnesses or bullying from their peers. Its perfectly okay for them to be off their meds and bringing guns to school.
